They searched for the ideal fit: a place centered on families. In late November, they opened their Learning Express Toys franchise in Highlands Ranch, CO.<\/p>\n<p>Residents of Douglas County for the past 11 years, Les and Heather believe that their area is the perfect place to raise a family. \u201cThe local community is filled with young families just like ours,\u201d they said. \u201cWe love the idea of adding a specialty toy store to the mix of locally owned businesses in the area, and we look forward to partnering with civic organizations and schools,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<p>The Highlands Ranch Learning Express Toys Grand Opening began on November 22 and continued throughout the weekend. Customers of the educational toy retailer were treated to contests, face painting, a 20% storewide discount, and visits from Elmo and Princess Belle. \u201cWe want our store to be a place where families gather and children are free to play, explore, and discover,\u201d said Heather and Les.<\/p>\n<p>Les has an extensive background in financial management and has worked as a financial advisor and in green energy. Prior to staying at home to raise their three children, Heather was an elementary school teacher.
